2024 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show®

Booth Inventory
Listed below is a brief description of the inventory that is automatically provided by TGMS. Regardless of your booth layout, whether you are staying with the standard booth configuration or another configuration, you must use TGMS booth colors (dove and cream). 10’ x 10’ booth consists of: 8’ back drape, 3’ side drape, two chairs, one 8’ by 30” front table, topped and skirted. For each additional 10’ of booth space, double the basic inventory except for chairs. Booth signs shall be provided for all Educational Exhibitors by TGMS. Please refer to paragraph 11 of the 2024 Show Agreement.

School Visits Program
Friday, February 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The Show opens at 9:00 a.m. to the school children only! The general public is admitted beginning at 10:00 a.m. This is another very popular program, and it succeeds because of the support of the everyone in the Show.  We encourage you to have free educational items for the children on Friday morning.  It is the very basis of our Show, to encourage interest and study in geology, mineralogy, lapidary, and allied earth sciences.

Special Services

Insurance
It is required of all the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show® Educational Exhibitor to provide a “Certificate of Insurance” to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society office by January 12, 2024 (per your Agreement, paragraph 14). If you do not have coverage already in place, arrangements have been made for TGMS Educational Exhibitors to acquire insurance coverage by purchasing as part of a group. If you purchase insurance through TotalEvent, you must send a copy to tgms@tgms.org. If you have any questions about TotalEvent, contact the TGSM Office first. Do Not contact TotalEvent directly.

Arizona Cine Equipment is the exclusive source for ordering all your extra services:

a) Labor for moving your booth material or equipment to or from your booth and
b) Additional equipment related to your booth (tables, counter tables, skirting, counter table skirting, table topping, chairs, waste baskets, lighting frames, labor, etc.).

Educational Exhibitor cases may be rented from and/or delivered by Arizona Cine Equipment. In addition, Arizona Cine coordinates the delivery of cases by Access Hardware Solutions (AHS) and Tucson Store Fixtures (TSF).  See below for additional case information. Access Hardware Solutions, LLC (AHS)
AHS is approved to deliver “Educational Exhibitor owned” display cases ONLY to the 2024 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show®. AHS is not approved to rent cases or equipment and is not approved to deliver other Educational Exhibitor items or material. Tucson Store Fixtures (TSF
TSF may provide fiber optic and LED metal cases to Show Educational Exhibitors. TSF may NOT provide any other cases to Educational Exhibitors unless:

a) such cases are not carried by AZ Cine
OR
b) AZ Cine has none of the same item available to rent

TSF may deliver display cases rented by TSF and deliver “Educational Exhibitor owned” display cases to the 2024 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show®. TSF is not approved to rent any other equipment or deliver any other additional Educational Exhibitor items or material. Savor (food & beverage)
SAVOR is the exclusive provider of all food and beverages at the Tucson Convention Center. As such, any requests to bring in outside food and beverages will be at Savor’s discretion and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. This includes requests for amenities such as logo-bottled water, hard candies and sample products. SAVOR can provide catering for all types of events and general public concession services. NOTE – Combined Tucson City sales tax (2.6%) and Arizona State sales tax (6.1%) is: 8.7%

State of Arizona – Dept. of Revenue
State of Arizona – Dept. of Revenue: If you do business for special events in Arizona, you are required to have a license. To complete a Joint Tax Application (JT-1) for a TPT License and/or for Withholding (if you have employees) complete the online application at https://www.aztaxes.gov.
